The 33rd Annual Humboldt Folklife Festival - July 17th-23rd, 2011!

All events except Annie & Mary Fiddle Fest (Sunday) and the Festival Barn Dance (Friday) are held at the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theater in Blue Lake.

Tickets for evening events are on sale now online via our website and will be available at Wildwood Music, The Works, People's Music, and Missing Link starting Friday, July 8th.

• The Fiddle Fest on Sunday is part of Blue Lake's Annie & Mary Day festivities and is held at Perigot Park from noon to 5 pm.

• Our indoor concerts - Women Songwriters on Monday and Jazz Night on Tuesday - are held inside Dell'Arte in the Carlo Theater. Doors are at 7 pm; 7:30 pm shows.

• Our two outdoor concerts - Country Night (new!) on Wednesday, and Bluegrass & Beyond on Thursday - are held in the Dell'Arte Amphitheater. Blankets and sweaters are advised for comfiness as the sun goes down. Doors for these evenings open at 5 pm with shows at 6 pm. B&B usually sells out, so make sure to get your tickets in advance for these shows!

• The Festival Barn Dance is held in our regular location, at the Arcata Veteran's Hall (14th & J Streets in Arcata). Dance is from 8-11 pm. Admission is at the door. No experience is necessary - all dances are taught!

• Our All Day Free Fest runs from 10 am to 8 pm at Dell'Arte... with two outdoor stages from 11 am to 8 pm, an indoor children's stage from noon to 3 pm, crafts for kids from noon to 6 pm, and music and dance workshops from 10 am to 4 pm! Onsite vendors include Alma's Mexican Food, Luke's Joint and the Dell'Arte Concessionaire.

  Our stage lineup includes the Blushing Roulettes, Rooster McClintock, Ukesperience, Berel Alexander, Delta Nationals, Kenny Ray & The Mighty Rovers, Old Dog, Jeff Landen & Friends, Spindrifters, Mon Petit Chou, Mike Selfridge, Singing Nettles, Fickle Heart, Redwing, The Trouble, Pilot Rock Ramblers, Kara's Lusca, Moonstone, Trillium, Melissa Ruth and the Likely Stories, and the McKinleyville Choir! Our participatory children's stage features storyteller Dan O'Gara, belly dance with Shoshanna, and an Alice in Wonderland themed musical theater program with KidCo. We'll have ukulele, banjo and guitar workshops, harmony groups and singalongs, belly dance and European social dance classes, plus a calling workshop - learn how to call a square!
